MESSAGE
FROM THE AMBASSADOR
The
Mexican government has a strong commitment to the enforcement of human
rights. Mexico’s ongoing efforts to guarantee the protection of
fundamental rights is encompassed both by efforts within its borders as
well by its support of international mechanisms for the protection of
human rights.
In
the past few years, Mexico has received comments and recommendations
from several international organizations associated with global and
regional human rights protection systems. All these suggestions and
criticisms have been widely publicized in order to ensure the structural
reforms necessary for the full observance of human rights. Mexico is
committed to a policy of transparency before the international
community.
In
light of this policy, and the conviction that the free flow of
information is one of the most effective mechanisms to respect and
protect human rights, the Embassy of Mexico in the Netherlands is making
available the most relevant information about cases that have caught the
attention of the international community, particularly organizations and
individuals based in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
